Michael Sherack
Michael Sherack     Michael Sherack, 35, will be instrumental in organizing the goals and detailing the exploits of International Equine Acquisitions in an investor and public relations capacity and will also help IEAH find runners as potential investment opportunities.
Www.InternationalEquineAcquisitions.com (www.ieah.com) will be built, updated, and modified for content by Sherack, who will work closely with company president Michael Iavarone, chief operating officer Richard Schiavo, IEAH Stables' trainers, and others in keeping all interested parties abreast on the activities of the corporation.
Sherack brings both experience and a world of valuable contacts in the Thoroughbred industry, having previously worked for the New York Racing Association as a member of the press office and ultimately as NYRA's track handicapper, television analyst, and morning line odds-maker. Sherack graduated with honors and a degree in journalism from St. John's University in Queens in 1996.
Through his wide-ranging body of work, Sherack developed his greatest strengths of handicapping and race-watching, and can now use his knowledge of racing stock to aid IEAH in finding suitable horses to be claimed or acquired privately. Sherack has been a successful handicapper and gambler and is now eager to bring that winning attitude to IEAH.
A graduate of Elmont High School, Sherack grew up walking distance to Belmont Park and has always felt at home at the racetrack. At a young age, he brings more than a dozen years of Thoroughbred racing related work experience to IEAH.
He left his job as copy editor, handicapper, and journalist at Daily Racing Form to dedicate his full attention to IEAH beginning October 2003. He had been employed at Daily Racing Form since January 2000.
Feel free to direct any questions and comments regarding International Equine Acquisitions and its website to msherack@ieah.com.
